You Don't Have to Earn Your Place Here

July 14, 2026

Every parenting space has a quiet entrance exam. The mom groups, the Facebook threads, the Instagram accounts full of clean kitchens and school-night dinners. You take it without knowing you're taking it. You fail it before you even introduce yourself.

Black Sheep Moms Club doesn't have one.

You're not here because you've earned it. You're not here because you've proven something, cleaned up enough, stayed sober long enough, gotten your kids back, or convinced anyone that you're on the right track now.

You're here because you exist. That's the whole requirement.

We started this because we kept finding each other in the comments, in the DMs, in the recovery forums at 2am where everyone was being brutally honest because there was nowhere else to be. The label "bad mom" had been used on us like a tool, like a sentence, and we were done letting it mean what other people wanted it to mean.

We took it back. Not to prove we're good now. Not to perform a redemption arc for an audience. Just because it was ours and we wanted it on our own terms.

That's this place. It belongs to you, whatever state you're in.
